Walking Tours around town:
Join staff members and share their expertise about different areas of Boston. The tours begin in the afternoon and continue for approximately 2 hours:
- The North End: history (Paul Revere and the Revolution); immigrants (Irish, Italian) and modern culture (restaurants, Italian markets). Begins at 1:00pm - meet in the Transportation Building by the Stuart Street entrance (Dunkin Donuts).
- History of Boston: Journalism (beginning with Benjamin Franklin to the present). Tour important journalism sites in Boston. Begins at 2pm - meet in the lobby of Little Building (80 Boylston Street).
- Harvard Square: Must pay for subway ride over and back; the “other school,” historical sites, shops, restaurants, and street musician sites. Tour leaves at 1pm in the Little Building (80 Boylston Street).
- Diversity Tour: Tour of important diverse sections of Boston. Tour leaves at 2pm from the lobby of Piano Row (150 Boylston Street).
These tours are first-come first-serve, and can hold no more than 20 people each. These tours are for new graduate students only.
